Our motors are designed and manufactured to meet the specific requirements of each drive task. We offer motors customized both electrically and mechanically.
For example, we supply specially made components for existing foundations or special bearings to absorb additional forces. During the electrical design phase, local grid conditions are taken into account to ensure minimal voltage drop and reliable start-up. Our portfolio includes squirrel-cage or slip-ring asynchronous motors as well as brushless or brushed synchronous motors.

Equipment
Our three-phase motors are durable, low-maintenance, and highly efficient, making them exceptionally effective. They are manufactured for all common protection classes and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Machines can be equipped with various cooling systems, such as air-air or air-water coolers, and are designed for a wide range of applications. They are built to fully withstand the toughest operating and environmental conditions. In aggressive environments, the use of appropriate materials prevents increased corrosion.
We provide technical solutions for fixed-speed grid-fed motors (up to 15 kV, started via shock coil or starting transformer) and variable-speed operation (up to 50 MW at 1,500 rpm), compatible with all common inverter types and brands. LDW produces brushless excited synchronous motors as standard, but brushed versions are also available upon request.
Our experts design motor bearings for additional axial or radial loads when necessary. This also applies to three-phase motors for shipbuilding with rolling and tilting capabilities required by relevant classification societies.
