Equipment
Our synchronous generators are optimized for the specific application, such as hydroelectric turbines, focusing on efficiency, speed, and turbine load absorption. When used with diesel generators, vibration loads are carefully considered. On request, generators can be designed with a flanged rotor. High efficiency is a priority for all our generators.
Machines can be designed as salient-pole or drum-pole generators. In salient-pole generators, poles are individually mounted on a cast rotor core and can be replaced individually. To prevent parallel operation issues with other generators or the grid, our synchronous generators are equipped with a generously sized damper cage.
Customers also benefit from a wide range of digital controllers. Upon request, we provide complete generator control panels, including protection and synchronization systems.
LDW generators are designed for all common protection and cooling options, suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. We also manufacture custom machines for harsh operating environments, including potentially explosive atmospheres.
Standard LDW synchronous generators are manufactured with brushless excitation, but a brushed version is also available upon customer request.
